Bakery hunt

Meike has been talking about her bread since we arrived five weeks ago. So today we decided to go north east of the centre, where East Bristol Bakery is located. I was happy to come with her, the bread they have at Tesco isn't exactly luxurious.

We were lucky, because a teacher was actually going to take the same bus as us, and she even pointed out the street to us.

After having bought a huge loaf, we went in to a local shop with a huge selection of foods. I noticed that a lot of things were so much cheaper than at Tesco. Avocados for half price just as the natural yoghurt!

Back closer to the centre went to a smaller bakery in Stokes Croft, with walls painted in a horrible grimy lime/yellow colour. Stokes croft is a bit of a hippie area, to be ... fair, and I really like the atmosphere with all the graffiti (have to show you soon!) and the quirky shops and pubs.

Meike bought a peice of foccaccia in the hippie bakery, and then we went to the residence where we enjoyed our bread with philadelphia and Meikes camembert cheese. Yummy.
